After you contact me about your project, I’ll be in touch with you to get an overview of your needs. Together we’ll determine the scope and timeline of your project.
Next I’ll send you a proposal in writing. To begin a project, a standard 50% deposit is required and the remainder is due when the work is completed. If another payment plan is more suitable, we can discuss options.
In this phase, I’ll gather more information about your company and your project. I’m interested in your goals and objectives, your company’s personality and capabilities, who your target market is, where you’re currently positioned, and where you want to take the brand in the future. I’ll research your industry and survey what your competitors look like so you’ll be able to differentiate yourself.
You might already have a business plan or creative brief I can use for reference. If not, I often provide a questionnaire to learn about your vision and objectives. Information gleaned in the discovery phase sets the direction for the next steps.
Here’s where ideas come to life. I’ll work up several creative concepts for you that are thoughtful solutions to your design problem—options that make sense and are a great fit with the parameters we’ve established in the Discovery phase.
From among the concepts presented, you’ll choose the best idea to focus on. Then we’ll work on refining it through a series of iterations until it’s just right.
When you’ve approved the design, I’ll create the final artwork files and deliver them to you and/or your print vendor. If needed, I’ll contact printers for quotes and manage the printing process for you.
If you have a design project in mind, let me know and I’ll be happy to talk it over with you!
